Overview

Carrie M. Timko has been an attorney with Epsten, APC since 2007. While she has spent much of her career as a litigation attorney, she has focused her practice on transactional matters since 2015. Carrie’s practice spans nearly all aspects of community association transactional work, including restating and drafting governing documents; contract drafting, negotiation, and review; association compliance; enforcement of the governing documents; and mediation and dispute resolution. While a litigator, Carrie succeeded on several appellate matters before the Fourth District Court of Appeal in San Diego and Orange Counties. She has authored several articles on relevant community association issues for industry publications, and has spoken at several industry events.

Carrie was born and raised in Warren, Ohio and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Business Administration from Kent State University in 2000. After being awarded a full scholarship to Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, she graduated cum laude in December 2002 with her Juris Doctor. Carrie also earned her Master of Business Administration from Stetson University in 2002. Carrie is a member of the California, Hawaii, and Illinois Bars, and the San Diego County Bar Association. She has also participated in the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court, and has served on the Educational Committee for the San Diego Chapter of CAI and the Legal Steering Committee for CACM.

Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, and loves to travel, hike, and bike. Carrie also enjoys all aspects of the arts, and was a member of a local gospel choir. She paints whenever she gets the chance.
